_19 A brief history

Beginnings

_19 began when my eldest was just six months old — a time of sleepless nights, constant contact, and fleeting moments I wanted to capture. To keep my hands busy and my mind grounded, I started drawing illustrations of her. Each sketch was a small reminder that even the hardest days with a baby pass, and that these early moments are precious.

Early commissions

Friends and family loved the illustrations, and soon I was creating custom pieces for others — capturing babies, weddings, loved ones, friendships, and memories that mattered. Storytelling through illustration became my way of connecting with people and preserving moments that mattered most.

Growth + exploration

Over time, _19 evolved. I explored photogrids, writing, illustrating, and self-publishing, culminating in my first book, Wild.

This opened doors to other artworks, projects such as packaging and user manuals for a well known brand in the parenting sector, collaborations, and selling pieces in stores. Each step was playful, experimental, and full of learning — and it’s here that my love for storytelling really took root.

What It Means Now

_19 has grown from sketches in the quiet chaos of new parenthood to a platform for creative storytelling, illustration, and connection. Every piece I create is still about capturing life’s fleeting moments — now with a little more strategy, a little more intention, and a lot of heart.
